Atrium's Restructuring Successfully Completed

Atrium Companies, Inc. and certain of its affiliates and subsidiaries (together, "Atrium") successfully completed its balance sheet restructuring and emerged from Chapter 11 on April 30, 2010, just 100 days after its initial filing was made. A copy of the Notice of Effective Date is available by clicking here.

As a result, Atrium is financially stronger with a healthy capital structure to support long-term growth. In fact, through the restructuring process, Atrium's outstanding debt was reduced by almost 60 percent.

With a stronger balance sheet and new financial resources, Atrium is well positioned for the future and is looking forward to the opportunities ahead to build its business, reinforce its market leadership and deliver long-term growth.

On April 1, 2010, the Bankruptcy Court entered a Bar Date Order setting the deadline for parties to file claims against Atrium. Pursuant to the Bar Date Order, a party seeking to assert a claim against Atrium must complete, sign, and return its Proof of Claim form to The Garden City Group, Inc. ("GCG") on or before June 11, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) (the "General Bar Date"). For "Governmental Units" (as defined in section 101(27) of the Bankruptcy Code), the deadline to submit a claim is July 19, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) (the "Governmental Bar Date"). On April 8, 2010, GCG mailed a Bar Date Notice as well as a Proof of Claim to all creditors and potential creditors. A copy of the Bar Date Notice is available by clicking here.

The deadline for filing requests for payment of Administrative Expenses is May 30, 2010.
